Hubli: A crude bomb exploded in a church in this city on Saturday morning leading to violent incidents and arson.

Official sources said a portion of the door of the church was damaged in the explosion and no major damage was reported.

Angered over the incident, an irate mob pelted stones and set fire to a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus. Three buses, a truck and an autorickshaw were damaged in the incidents.

On June 22, some miscreants had attacked the residence of Christian priest Samuel Hosalli and had ransacked the furniture, books and handbills in the house after threatening the inmates.
