Calcutta: A non-stop relief train was scheduled to leave for Patna from here at 4 pm
on Monday to carry the relatives of passengers of the ill-fated Alliance Airlines
Boeing 737 flight which crashed on Monday morning near Patna airport.
Organised at the initiative of Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, the superfast train
would also have a parcel-cum-luggage van, Eastern Railway sources here said, adding
that the railway was also prepared to bring back the bodies of the persons who had
boarded the plane from Calcutta.
The railways would also offer all assistance to help the victims' relatives to reach
the accident site, the sources added.
