New Delhi: A court here on July 5 remanded tehelka.com reporter Kumar Badal,
arrested in connection with a poaching case, to three days of CBI custody.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Saharanpur ordered Badal's remand till July 8 to
facilitate CBI to complete probe into the poaching of three leopards at Shivalik
hills in Uttar Pradesh, sources said.
Badal was sent to the District jail of Saharanpur after the court ordered him to a
day's judicial custody on July 4.
Badal was arrested on July 3, in connection with the case after he allegedly "did
not co-operate" with the agency sleuths during interrogation.
CBI alleged that Badal was working under a fictitious name of "Pankaj"- for whom two
poachers Inam and Meherban, arrested earlier- had been working.
They used to get in touch with "Pankaj" on a mobile number "9810290047", allegedly
belonging to Buffalo Networks Private Limited.
