Ajmer: Presidential candidate A P J Abdul Kalam on July 5 paid obeisance at the
dargah of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti and prayed for the prosperity of the
nation and its people.

Kalam offered namaz in the office of Anjuman, the organisation of Khadims (care-
takers) of the dargah, to avoid any inconvenience to worshippers who had gathered in
the complex for Friday prayers.
He spent about half-an-hour in the Anjuman office and discussed its education plans,
the organisation's secretary Sarvar Chisti said.
"It is divine experience to visit Khawaja Sahib dargah. I pray to Almighty for
prosperity of the nation and its people," he wrote in visitors' book.
He later visited St Francis Nursing Home, the first maternity nursing home in
Rajasthan started by some foreign nuns a century ago.
Kalam also visited the century-old Catholic Church before leaving for Delhi by
Shatabdi Express after spending about three hours in the town.
