Nagpur: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Laloo
Prasad Yadav on July 5, said there was possibility of the present Lok Sabha (LS)
being dissolved to pave way for holding mid-term elections in the country in March
2003.
Speaking after dedication of Lokmat Military Boys' Hostel, Yadav alleged that the
monsoon session of LS, commencing from July 15, would be the last session of the
present NDA government and the ruling alliance would dissolve the House after the
Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections are over later this month.
Without mincing words, Yadav - a Rajya Sabha (RS) member, on his maiden visit,
alleged Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee was all set to hand over the reins to
Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani.
The nation was passing through a difficult phase during the NDA rule, he said and
without naming the saffron forces he criticised them for "damaging the secular
fabric of the nation".
"They are bent upon dividing the nation into pieces," he said adding the RSS has now
demanded trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir.
