Patna: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on July 5 decided to launch a nation-wide
campaign to dislodge the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government from power at
the Centre, accusing it of spreading communal hatred in the country.
The Bihar Chief Minister, Rabri Devi, asked party workers to launch a campaign
across the country to mobilise people for the ouster of the ''communal and fascist''
government at the Centre.
Addressing party workers on the occasion of the RJD's sixth foundation day, she
alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s real face was exposed in Gujarat
where the Narendra Modi government let loose communal forces to kill thousands of
innocent people from minority communities. "Besides, by electing Vinay Katiyar as
the party chief in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has made its communal agenda
clear."
The party also flayed the Central government for pursuing anti-poor and anti-farmer
economic policies under instructions from the US, World Bank and multinational
corporations.
Adopting an economic resolution, the party criticised the disinvestment policy of
the Union government, allowing foreign direct investment (FDI) in the print media
and vowed to continue struggle against the retrogressive economic policies of the
Vajpayee government.
