Jammu: About 13 people were killed and 20 injured when militants lobbed grenades and
opened fire on security forces in Kasimnagar area on July 13 evening, official
sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces launched a raid to nab the militants in
Kasimnagar in South Jammu at around 19:30 hours (IST).
The injured, several of them in serious condition, have been rushed to the hospital.
The toll is expected to rise as the operation was still on.
Those killed are mainly civilians as the area is full of jhuggi clusters.
