Jammu: Pakistan-based militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba is responsible for the attack
that left 27 people dead on the outskirt of Jammu city on July 13, Director General
of Jammu and Kashmir police A K Suri said.
"The Lashkar has been responsible for this. There was definite information that the
Lashkar has been planning attacks in Jammu and this is in pursuance of that
information
that we have this incident," Suri said.
Replying to a question, Suri said the militants who carried out the attack could not
have left Jammu and must be in its vicinity.
Asked if he is hopeful of nabbing the ultras, he said "we will make all efforts to
nab them as early as possible".
