Washington: The United States on July 14 condemned the militant attack in Qasimnagar near Jammu in which 27 civilians were killed and expressed sympathy for the victims and their families.

"We strongly condemn any acts of terrorism and any terrorist attacks. Our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims and their families," White House Deputy Press Secretary Scott McClellan said.

Twenty-seven people were killed and an equal number injured when ultras struck an area of slum-dwellers.
