New Delhi: India on July 15 rejected the recent resolution passed by the OIC on
Jammu and Kashmir and other issues, asserting it has no locus standi in matters
concerning the country's internal affairs.
Foreign Ministers of the OIC at their meeting in Khartoum, Sudan, in June-end had
voiced grave concern over the deployment of troops by India on its borders, sought
UN mediation to lower Indo-Pak tensions and spoke about support to Kashmiri peoples
right of self-determination.
''The OIC has once again adopted resolutions relating to J&K and other internal
matters of India at the OIC Foreign Ministers' meeting.
''The OIC has no locus standi in matters concerning India's internal affairs. We
therefore out rightly reject all such resolutions,'' External Affairs Ministry
spokesperson Nirupama Rao said in a response to a question.
