New Delhi: Defence Minister George Fernandes, will for the first time, depose on July 20 before the Venkataswami Commission on the past Defence transactions including purchase of T-90 tanks and Barrak missiles.

Fernandes, who will depose in an in-camera, will be asked about the various past Defence deals which appeared in Tehelka expose on alleged corruption in Defence transactions, Commission sources said.

The proceedings will be held in-camera as it involves sensitive and classified information on Defence deals on which government had sought privilege for not making it public, the sources said.
