PAF plane crash leaves one dead near Islamabad

Islamabad: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter plane on a routine flying mission crashed near a PAF base in Punjab province on July 19, killing the pilot, officials said.

The pilot of the plane Air Commodore Hameed Qadri was killed when the plane crashed near Kamra, 80 km West of Islamabad, a PAF spokesman said.

The air headquarter has ordered a Board of Inquiry to investigate the cause of the accident.

Qadri was commander of the PAF base Minhas, near Kamra.
