Srinagar: Five persons, including four militants, were killed while four ultras were arrested two others affiliated with Jaish-e- Mohammad (JeM) outfit, surrendered in Jammu and Kashmir since July 20 night, a police spokesman said.

Two militants identified as Hashmat Ullah of Marmat and Muzamil alias Jehangir-ul- Islam of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in an encounter with security forces at Jabban-Nowgam in Banihal area of Doda district on July 20 night, the spokesman said.

He said security forces shot dead two more militants in Narkote in Udhampur district and recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from them.

Body of one, Mohammad Zulfikar was recovered by police from Khadakani Wali Dhoke in Darhal area of Rajouri district on July 21, the spokesman said.

Zulfikar was abducted by unidentified militants from village hill top in Darhal two days back, the spokesman said.
