Jayalalithaa condoles Krishan Kant's demise

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalaltihaa on July 27 condoled the death of Vice-President Krishan Kant and described him as an outstanding Parliamentarian.

In a message, she said that Kant, in his long career in public life, had endeared himself to one and all and made an indelible mark on the polity of the country, through his distinguished service.

As the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and as the Vice President of India and chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Kant had adorned the offices with a great deal of finesse and commitment and won the admiration of all, she said, adding that in his death, India had lost one of its eminent statesmen.

She conveyed her deepest condolences to members of the bereaved family.
