Mysore: Leaders of two factions of the Janata Dal (JD), Ramakrishna Hegde (JD- United) and S R Bommai (S), will meet in Bangalore on August 7 to clear any cobwebs on the path for unification of the party factions, former minister and senior JD (U) leader M P Prakash said on August 4.

Denying reports that Hegde was opposed to merger, he told reporters that what Hegde wanted was to work out certain mudalities for merger so as to ensure that the party stood the test of time.
