New Delhi: One more person was arrested on August 5 by Delhi police in connection
with 'Indian Express' principal correspondent Shivani Bhatnagar's murder
case.
Vijay Sharma, son-in-law of Sri Bhawan, who has already been arrested, was picked up
from Gurgaon early on August 5, police sources said.
Vijay was arrested on charges of providing mobile phone to Sri Bhawan, which was
allegedly used in conversation between him and senior IPS officer Ravi Kant Sharma in
connection with the murder on January 23, 1999.
Police also questioned K L Sharma, brother of Sri Bhagwan to ascertain the
whereabouts of Satya Prakash, his distant relative.
Sri Bhawan and Pradeep Sharma, who are now in custody, have allegedly confessed to
the crime.
Meanwhile, Surat Singh, lawyer of Sri Bhawan, alleged that police was "harassing" his
client in custody and "intimidating" him to become approver in the case.
