Dharmapuri: An associate of forest brigand Veerapan has surrendered before a court in Pennagram, police said on September 5.

A native of Sengapadi village in Kolathur, Murugesan (29), accused in some criminal cases, surrendered before the judicial magistrate court at Pennagram.

The magistrate remanded him to 15 days. He has been lodged at the Salem central prison.
