Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Disom Party (JDP) has called a 'Jharkhand bandh' on September
20 to protest against the alleged dilly-dally attitude of the Jharkhand government
on the domicile and reservation issues.
Speaking to reporters, Salkhan Murmu, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of
Parliament (MP) and the founder of JDP, said he would undertake a tour of the state
to mobilise support of all political parties, organisations and groups to make the
bandh a success.
Murmu also threatened to launch an indefinite rail and road roko agitation
immediately after the bandh if the state government did not pay heed to their demand
for 90 per cent reservation for adivasis/ moolvasis in all fields including
education and employment.
