Srinagar: Eleven militants, three securitymen and a People's Democratic Party activist were among 18 people killed in separate incidents since September 9 evening in Jammu and Kashmir where security forces apprehended two ultras and their four harbourers.

A powerful blast, set off by militants, left one person dead and 28 wounded in Pattan town in Barmulla, an official spokesman said.

He said two militants were killed during search operations by security forces in Ganderbal area on the outskirts of Srinagar on September 10.

Lashker-e-Toiba militant Hussain Ali, hailing from Pakistan, was killed in a gunbattle with troops near the line of control (LoC) in Gurez sector of Baramulla district.
