Bihar: The Army has been asked to stand by to assist the Railways and the state
authorities in relief and rescue operations after the train disaster on September 9
in Bihar's Aurangabad district.
Magadh Divisional Commissioner H C Sirohi said over the phone from Gaya that Army
tankers are already engaged in transporting potable water to the accident site.
Meanwhile, Bihar's IGP (Operations) Neelmani has ruled out the possibility of
sabotage as the cause of the accident.
"This does not appear to be a case of sabotage. The Railway authorities have jumped
to a conclusion without even caring to verify the ground realities," he said.
Minister of State for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya had told some news channels that
the mishap was a result of sabotage. The Eastern Railway authorities in Kolkata also
suspect it to be a case of sabotage.
