Rajdhani disaster: CPM demands Nitish Kumar' head
Friday, September 13 2002 19:07 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Accusing the Vajpayee government of displaying a "gross inhuman attitude" to the Rajdhani Express disaster, Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM) on September 13 demanded that Railway Minister Nitish Kumar be made to quit office.

"Such a gross inhuman attitude is despicable. The Railway Minister must immediately quit, amongst other things, for displaying such a callous attitude," the party Polit Bureau said in a statement.

It said reports had suggested that railway authorities had been instructed to concentrate on efforts to establish sabotage as the cause of the accident, instead of mounting relief operations on a war footing.
