Indian American to head probe into WTC collapse

New York: Chennai-born engineer Sivaraj Shyam Sunder, who heads the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will head the Federal probe into the collapse of the twin towers in New York on September 11.

"The investigation is a very sensitive project and it will be focussed heavily on staff within the NIST and with US-based contractors", Shyam Sunder, who would head the $ 16 million probe, was quoted as saying by 'India Abroad' newspaper.
