Mysore: Engineering students all over Karnataka would go on a indefinite strike from September 26 if their seven demands are not met, according to a decision taken by representatives of various students' action committees on September 18.

In a memorandum submitted to the Regional Centre of the Visveswaraiah Technological University, the action committees urged the Varsity to discard the present limited carry-over system and introduce the complete carry-over system, reduce the compulsory attendance fixed for students at 85 per cent and to introduce internal assessment.
