Security forces forcing Kashmiris to vote: Hurriyat

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (HC) on September 23 accused security forces of coercing people to vote on the eve of the second phase of elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Security forces have intensified patrolling in Gund-E-Rehman, Haran, Kehan, Sehpora, Shalibug, Shaliteng, Mustafabad in Ganderbal and several other areas to force people to vote in the elections tomorrow," the separatists amalgam said in a statement on September 23.

It also condemned police raids on the offices of Hurriyat constituents and subsequent arrest of several of their activists on September 22.
