Jammu: Security forces gunned down seven Pakistani ultras in three separate
encounters in Rajouri and Poonch districts since September 23 evening, official
sources said on September 24.
Four ultras were shot dead in a fierce encounter at Angan-Pathri area in border
village of Mandi in Poonch early on September 24, they said, adding that the ultras
had probably crossed the line of control (LoC) and were on their way to Kashmir
Valley via Pir Panjal ranges.
Two more militants were shot dead in Sunderbani area of Rajouri during counter
terrorism operation in the day, the sources said.
Another militant was killed by security forces in Noushera sector of Rajouri on
September 23 evening.
A large quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the slain
militants, whose identity is being ascertained, they said.
