Islamabad: Pakistan condemned the attack on Swaminarayan temple in Gujarat on
September 24 in which at least 30 people were killed and dozens wounded.
"We condemn the attack and the death of innocent civilians," Foreign Office
spokesman Aziz Ahmed Khan said on September 24 night.
"We don't know the details and we don't know the people involved in the attack," he
said.
"Any terrorist attack is to be condemned."
A Foreign Ministry statement said "the government of Pakistan strongly
condemns the terrorist attack on the Hindu temple" in Gandhinagar in Gujarat
and the loss of life as a result of the attack.
"Targetting places of worship is particularly reprehensible," it said.
"Such attacks do not promote any cause and are indeed aimed at heightening
tension in the region."
