Mandya: Protests by different organisations and farmers on the Cauvery issue continued in Mandya on September 24 but the vehicular traffic between Bangalore and Mysore improved after being badly hit on September 23.

Cinema theatres observed a bandh and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation suspended its bus services. Local buses however plied.

Farmers came in tractors and took out a huge procession and were joined in the stir against release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu by various organisations.

Mandya district has been badly affected by the Cauvery protests for the last three weeks.
