New Delhi: US Assistant Secretary of State Christina Rocca arrived in New Delhi on
September 24 on a four-day visit coinciding with the second phase of polling in Jammu
and Kashmir.
Shortly after her arrival Rocca held talks with senior officials in the Ministry of
External Affairs, official sources said.
The issue of Pakistan-backed terrorism and the stepped up violence in J&K is
understood to have figured prominently during the parleys.
During her stay Rocca would be attending a conference of chiefs of missions of the
South Asian region based in New Delhi.
