Mandya: Vehicular traffic was disrupted between Bangalore and Mysore on September 26 as road blockades continued unabated in protest against release of Cauvery waters to Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation suspended its bus services after 10:00 hours (IST) following protests on the main road.

Different organisations took out processions and burnt the effigies of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Meanwhile, businessmen in the district have petitioned the district authorities to clear the road blockades, saying it was affecting their business.
