BJP to mobilise public opinion against terrorism
Friday, September 27 2002 13:42 Hrs (IST)

Vadodara: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders would fan out to different states to mobilise public opinion in the wake of the recent terrorist strike at Swaminarayan temple at Gandhinagar, according to Union Textile Minister and a member of BJP national executive, Kashiram Rana.

Stating that BJP would observe October 1 as the "anti-terrorism" day against Pak- backed terror, Rana on September 27 appealed people to remain united and maintain peace to frustrate the nefarious designs of the terrorists.

In an informal chat with reporters, he congratulated the National Security Guards (NSG), State Police Commando and the police for successful completion of operation to eliminate the terrorists at the Swaminarayan temple.

"This barbaric and inhuman attack, which was a part of a pre-meditated conspiracy executed by these Pakistan-backed terrorists, was aimed at disturbing Gujarat's social fabric," he said.
