Lucknow: Assuring Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers that their grievances will be
taken up with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, state BJP chief Vinay Katiyar
on September 27 said his party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) would fight the next
Lok Sabha elections together in the state.
Katiyar told the inaugural session of the party's state working committee in Lucknow
that there would be no compromise on the issue of honour of the partymen and the
party would bring to Chief Minister's notice those who were creating problems for
BJP workers.
Exuding confidence that the coalition government would complete its full term, he
said both the BSP and BJP would contest the Parliamentary elections together in the
state.
Katiyar said all the important departments related to issues of the welfare of the
people were being headed by BJP ministers, but the party had so far failed to give a
right message to the people.
Katiyar said a membership drive would be launched along with the ongoing "gaon chalo
abhiyan".
