Salman - Bad boy of Bollywood does it again!

Bollywood star Salman Khan Hyderabad: Leading Bollywood star Salman Khan was arrested on September 28 on the charges of reckless driving, that left one dead and four injured. It's not the first time that Salman has had a brush with law. On earlier occasions too, Salman has flaunted his star status to get into trouble.

In the wee hours of September 28, Salman rammed his car into a bakery in suburban Bandra, Mumbai, killing one person and injuring four others in their sleep. Though he managed to get bail, it looks like he cannot escape the clutches of law this time.

Three years ago, Salman Khan was arrested on the charges of killing three black bucks in Rajasthan. It is alleged that, Salman went on a hunting spree along with his co-stars in Rajasthan forest area. Forest officials allege that Salman Khan gunned down the endangered species. However, there haven’t been sufficient evidence to prove these charges.

Salman was in news again in 2001 for beating up a few press photographers.

Of late, he had been in the news for his stormy relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai.

Mumbai's leading daily 'Mid Day' reported that when Aishwarya Rai was shooting for a film, Salman Khan stormed the sets and created a ruckus.

Recently Salman Khan was given police protection from underworld threats. Ironically, it is his police aid, a constable, who informed the Bandra police about this accident.

Meanwhile, many intellectuals and sociologists in India feel that it is very disturbing phenomena of 'role models' turning into 'bad guys'. In a recent poll, Ashwarya Rai headed the list of people most admired by non-resident Indians (NRIs) in UK. They argue that Ash's inability to fight back with Salman, will send the message that no matter how beautiful and successful a woman may be, she helplessly puts up with a violence by her man.
