Mandya: Widespread protests against water release to Tamil Nadu continued in Maddur
and Malavalli taluks in the district on September 30.
At Maddur, a mammoth rally was taken out by villagers and taluk panchayat members in
protest against the Cauvery River Authority (CRA) directives.
In Srirangapatna town, a protest rally was taken out by the priests of various
temples.
Krishnaraja Sagar town observed bandh on September 30 with hotels, shops and other
commercial establishments remaining closed.
