Washington: US President George W Bush would remain focussed on the "existing
problems" between India and Pakistan which were a priority for his administration,
the White House has said.
"The President's message to India and Pakistan is that (he) is going to remain
focused on the existing problems between the two countries," White House spokesman
Ari Fleischer told reporters on October 2.
"This is a focus that this administration has repeatedly made and will continue to
make, because it is a priority," he said.
Fleischer denied reports that the US and Pakistan were discussing the supply of F-16
fighter aircraft to the South Asian nation.
"I am not aware of any discussions about providing F-16s" to Pakistan, he said.
