Washington: The US on October 4 expressed disappointment over the Pakistani test-
firing of medium range surface-to-surface ballistic missile Hatf-IV, capable of
carrying nuclear warheads and hit targets within the range of 750 Km covering
several parts of India.
"As we have said in the past, given the state of tension in South Asia, we are
disappointed by ballistic missile tests in the region. Such tests contribute to the
charged atmosphere and also make it harder to prevent a costly and destabilising
arms race," Bush administration officials said.
