New Delhi: Well-known Delhi-based Ayurvedic specialist Naveen Gupta has been honoured with the 'Swiss Association International de Naturel' award for his contribution to the promotion of alternative medicine.

The award, presented to Gupta at Geneva recently, carried a memento and a cash award of 1,000 Swiss Francs, according to a release from Ashtvaidyan Ayurveda, a Delhi- based NGO of doctors practicing the ancient system of Indian medicine.

Besides being the chief physician at the capital-based Ayurveda India International Centre and Panchkarma Centre, Gupta is on the faculty of European Institute of Scientific Research on Ayurveda and Director of a 100 per cent herbal export unit, the release said.
