Chennai: Tamil film star Rajnikant left Chennai for New Delhi on October 6 morning to meet the Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and the Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to discuss the Cauvery water issue.

In a brief chat with reporters in the Meenambakkam airport before his departure, the actor said that he would definitely participate in the October 12 rally in Neyvelli if the stir was only for securing Cauvery water from Karnataka. "I will not participate in the rally if the agitation is to spill blood, means resorting to violence," he said.

When asked as to what he would discuss with the Prime Minister, he shot back "I cannot disclose everything to you". He was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajnikant.
