Coimbatore: Cable operators in this region have stopped telecasting of all Kannada
channels since October 5 night, in protest against non-release of Cauvery water.
The stoppage was in response to the call given by Cable TV Operators Association of
Tamil Nadu, association sources said on October 6.
According to the sources, some channels have put out a scroll saying, "As a sign of
protest on Cauvery river issue, we have stopped telecasting of all Kannada
channels."
