Monday, October 7 2002 15:44 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan on October 7 surrendered before the Bandra police in Mumbai following a disclosure by the government to Mumbai High Court that he would be booked under 304 IPC, a non-bailable offence, in a hit and run case.

The actor went to the police station after his lawyer briefed him about the proceedings of the High Court, police said.

Salman's car allegedly rammed into a bakery on September 28, killing one person and injuring four others.
