Mumbai: Police on October 7 arrested film actor Salman Khan after he surrendered himself in a hit and run case following disclosure by government that he was being booked under section 304 IPC, a non-bailable offence.

Salman will be produced before the magistrate within 24 hours, police said.

Salman surrendered before police at Bandra this afternoon (October 7) after the government disclosed to Mumbai High Court that he could be booked for a non-bailable offence.

His vehicle allegedly rammed into a bakery on September 28, killing one person and injuring four others.
