Beenamol clinches third gold for India in athletics

Busan: Star athlete K M Beenamol won India's third gold in athletics winning the women's 800 metres in the 14th Asian Games on Tuesday.

Beenamol won in a time of 2 minutes 4.17 seconds ahead of compatriot Madhuri A Singh who bagged the silver with a time of 2:04.94s.

Uzbekistan's Zamira Amirova took the bronze in a time of 2:05.05. While Anju George had clinched gold for India in the long jump, Bahadur Singh gave India its second gold by winning the shotput event.
