No question of letting Pak take Kashmir: PM
Tuesday, October 8 2002 00:09 Hrs (IST)

Nicosia: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on October 7 night asserted there was no question of letting Pakistan take Kashmir and declared India would not suffer another partition.

"There is no question of leaving Kashmir which will always remain India's integral part," Vajpayee told a reception hosted in Nicosia by the Indian High Commissioner Pavan K Varma for the 2,000-strong Indian community in Cyprus.

"It (Kashmir) is a question of our national unity, integrity and sovereignty," Vajpayee said while praising the people of Jammu and Kashmir for rejecting violence and reposing faith in the Democratic process by voting in large number despite severe intimidation to voters and candidates in state Assembly elections.
