Jammu: The election authorities have ordered repoll for Jijote polling station in Doda on October 9, official sources said on October 8.

Repolling was ordered, in the booth in 53 Assembly constituency, after voters complained that the electronic voting machine (EVM) in the polling station was defective and could be misused, sources said.

The voters met the district election officer and the Central observer and demanded repolling, sources said, adding that the two officials after obtaining permission from the Election Commission ordered repolling for the booth on October 9.
