Tuesday, October 8 2002 23:29 Hrs (IST)

Srinagar: The Election Commission (EC) on October 8 night ordered a repoll in four polling stations of Doda, Kishtawar and Surankote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

While repolling in two polling stations of Doda will be held in 25-Jangot and 85- Akramabad, it will be held in 3-C-Islamia High School in Kishtawar.

The EC also announced a repoll in Taranwali-A polling station in Surankote of Poonch district. This polling station had already witnessed a repoll on October 1 but EC sources said as complaints of the electoral process being vitiated were still coming in, it has been decided to hold a second repoll in this polling station.

The polling in all four booths will be held on October 9 from 07:00 hours to 16:00 hours (IST).
