New Delhi: Delhi police on October 8 claimed that senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer R K Sharma has admitted his involvement in the murder of journalist Shivani Bhattnagar.

Shortly after the suspended Haryana cadre police officer was remanded to 14 days judicial custody by a city court, joint commissioner of police (crime) U K Katna told reporters, "He (Sharma) admitted his involvement before investigating officers" during interrogation.

"We are quite satisfied with the disclosures he made during his police remand. We shall evaluate entire evidence at an appropriate time," Katna said.
