Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan, who had been remanded to police custody at the crime
branch cell in a hit-and-run case, was on October 10 taken to the suburban Bandra
court in a van amidst tight police security.
The actor, dressed in denim trousers and T-shirt, was taken from the crime branch
cell at Crawford Market in South Mumbai to the Bandra court in North West Mumbai at
14.40 hours.
The police were expected to press for extension of Salman's police custody to enable
the officials to quiz the actor on the ownership of the vehicle he was driving when
he allegedly rammed it into a bakery on September 28, killing one person and
injuring four others.
