Lucknow: Chief Minister Mayawati on October 11 carried out the much-awaited expansion of her ministry, inducting 57 new members, 12 of them of Cabinet rank.

Besides the 12 Cabinet ministers, 18 ministers of state with independent charge and 29 ministers of state joined the Ministry.

Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri administered the oath of office and secrecy to them at Raj Bhavan at Lucknow.
