Farooq quits after poor show in JK elections

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on October 11 resigned
from his post in the wake of his party National Conference's stunning defeat in the
state Assembly polls.
Abdullah submitted his resignation to Governor G C Saxena after the Cabinet met on
October 11 morning at his residence in Srinagar.
