Chennai: Tamil superstar Rajnikant has postponed his proposed fast demanding
Karnataka to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu from October 12 to October 13.
In a statement, he said he had made the changes in the date following an appeal by
the South Indian Film Artists Association president Vijaykant.
On October 10 night, Vijaykant had appealed to Rajnikant to postpone the fast by a
day to enable the association members to participate in the fast. The Tamil film
industry was planning to take out a rally in Neyveli on October 12 demanding
stoppage of power to Karnataka from the Neyveli thermal power plant.
