Sunita Rani wins bronze medal in 5,000 metres

Busan: India's Sunita Rani won the bronze medal in the women's 5,000 metres at the Asian Games on Saturday.

Rani, who had won the 1,500 metres event on Thursday setting a new Games record, came behind China's Sun Yingjie who won the gold and Japan's Kayoko Fukushi.

The Indian girl clocked 15 minutes 18.77 seconds, while Yingjie recorded 14 minutes 40.42 seconds, a new Games record.
